Astro 101: Concept Review & Reflections

Session Review

Shortly before the coming of the Easter holiday, I spoke with the lecturer David James, discussing the strengths of my current concept of an astronomy show title opening. He expressed that he was impressed and enjoyed the basic silhouette's he saw on screen; however, commented that a few scenes such as the opening would have to be further developed.

So after contemplating on his feedback for the past week, I also thought about the choice of music I would apply to the title sequence and I did not want to choose another brass orchestral piece that existing shows such as "Sky at Night" tends to use quite frequently.

It wasn't until I overheard and listened to a classical guitar piece on the radio station Classic Fm that I thought that the sound of a classical guitar would apply an excellent atmospheric tone to my opening sequence and I have found that most media uses a classical guitar whenever the topic of that media involves Renaissance periods or further back in western history.
